Electric Car Webinar - August 2020

August 25, 2020

Drive Electric Vermont, Acorn Energy Co-op and the Climate Economy Action Center of Addison County hosted a webinar on electric vehicles (EVs) on Thursday, August 20, 2020. We covered many aspects of purchasing and owning an EV in Vermont, including:

• What to keep in mind if you’re considering switching over from a gas-powered car.

• EV models available in Vermont (including some future options).

• Different ways to charge, and current availability of public charging.

• The latest information on Vermont incentives for buying an EV.

We also heard from a few EV driving Vermonters on their ownership experiences with Toyota Prius Plug-in and an older Nissan LEAF vehicle. The full recording and additional resources related to this session are available below.

If you're interested in hearing about the Tesla Model 3, a more recent Nissan LEAF model or the Chevrolet Bolt we would recommend also reviewing our May webinar - start at 31 minutes if you just want to hear the owner experiences. Please keep in mind some details shared in the May session dsicussion may no longer be current.
