Drive Electric Week Virtual Event - September 2020

September 26, 2020

Vermont Electric Co-op, VPPSA, Stowe Electric Department, Washington Electric Co-op, Green Mountain Power and Drive Electric Vermont hosted a virtual event to celebrate National Drive Electric Week on Saturday, September 26, 2020.

We covered many aspects of purchasing and owning an electric car in Vermont, including:

• Reasons to go electric

• Types of electric cars

• EV models available in Vermont (including some future options).

• Different ways to charge, and current availability of public charging.

• The latest information on Vermont incentives for buying an EV.

We also heard from a few EV driving Vermonters on their ownership experiences with Nissan LEAF and Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid vehicles. The full recording and additional resources related to this session are available below.

If you're interested in hearing about the Tesla Model 3, a more recent Nissan LEAF model or the Chevrolet Bolt we would recommend also reviewing our May webinar - start at 31 minutes if you just want to hear the owner experiences. Please keep in mind some details on incentives and other materials shared in the May session discussion may no longer be current.
