Waterbury LEAP 2021 EV Fest

Waterbury LEAP organized an evening of free food and fun at the Crossett Brook Middle School on August 18, 2021. Experts and owners were on hand to cover the basics and answer questions about purchasing and owning plug-in electric vehicles (EVs) in Vermont.

More than 15 electric vehicles were display, including the Tesla Model Y, Ford Mustang Mach-E, Chevrolet Bolt, Toyota RAV4 Prime, Subaru Crosstrek plug-in hybrid, Volvo XC40 Recharge, and others.

We covered many aspects of purchasing and owning an electric car in Vermont, including:

• Reasons to go electric

• Types of electric cars

• EV models available and coming soon to Vermont.

• Different ways to charge, including availability of public charging.

• The latest information on Vermont incentives for buying an EV.
